Ultimate Hot Chocolate | Book of Elsa

 Ultimate Hot Chocolate

Serves 2

500ml whole milk (or alternative just don’t me about it)

100g dark chocolate minimum 50%

2 tablespoons golden syrup

Vanilla to taste

1 tablespoon custard powder

Rum (optional)

Method:

On low(ish) heat warm the milk, add the chocolate breaking it up as it goes in. Pour in the syrup and vanilla. Once combined whisk in the custard powder until thick and hot. If you have rum to hand a glug or two wouldn’t hurt.

Chocolate | Book of Elsa

Alright you fantastic people of the internet here is a recipe to change the way you feel about chocolate! Please excuse my enthusiasm for the subject matter but take it from someone who on a regular day doesn't even LIKE chocolate...
This Sauce is to die! I was eating churros with it :-) whilst seriously considering taking a bath of this stuff so here is the recipe such as it is
Book of Elsa

Ingredients
50g dark chocolate
50g milk chocolate
100ml double cream

Method
Chop the chocolate and put it in a sauce pan, add the double cream and cook slowly until the chocolate has melted.
Take off the heat, stir, swoon and eat/drink :-) x

Instant Chocolate Mousse - Nigella Lawson

Instant Chocolate Mousse - Nigella Lawson
These tasted delicious! Also because of the mini marshmallows they do not need to set in the fridge. Just 20 minutes (if that) at room temperature and we're done.
PS: The actual recipe can be found here
Happy Cooking :)

THE Most Delicious Hot Chocolate of all time - Book of Elsa

THE Most Delicious Hot Chocolate of all time - Book of Elsa

The name says it all, trust me anyone can make this!
Book of Elsa

Mini Marshmallows because they look darn cute but you're free to use whatever you like or to leave them out altogether (but really now is not the time to be healthy)

Squirty Cream needs no explanation but again leave out if you're crazy like that.

Full fat milk of course :) if you're on a health kick or diet: eat a salad. This is not for you.

Cocoa mix: any mix is lovely but mine is from here
